2 days ago, my laptop was downloading vista service pack 1 update.....den by the time it reboot.....it went to a screen that says "Error recovery".....and then i stuck there forever, could not log on to windows at all.....

today went to CIT, FORMAT COM, all my backup also duno why disappear, FUCK TUB.......a little good thing is before i left for philippines, i copy all my documents to ellse comp too....so whatever i did after 27 April all gone.......

haiz.....amidst all the "supposedly planned to do" things....like planning smoothly for my yep trip, going thru the yep leaders training, to go sun-tanning and gym, to contribute alittle bit more to the investment club and also to analyze a company of my choice.......something bad happens....

my dad landed in hosp last thurs......early diagnosis points to a liver infection as his skin colour turns yellow.....as doctor says his condition is not serious becoz he dun look "sick enuff"(still looking like a normal lively adult), therefore they are pushing the scans on his liver to this morning....so he have been at the hosp for the past 4 days...taking blood tests daily, but not eating medication, just under observation.....

well in a few hours i shall know the full diagnosis hopefully everything clear and i can go for my batam trip-yep leaders camp this coming friday with peace.....and hopefully can do wad i wanna do during this summer....

on a lighter note.....manchester united won the title....finally....whoohoooo.....and also i decide to sign up the ippt prep training at khatib camp for 5 weeks starting from 17 jun every tue n thurs 7-10pm.....cause i feel that now got time and juz wanna train, pass and clear it.....

Hey all....

exams all over now......for smu only (ntu having exams now, nus now study week).....

but as much as i want the exams to be over, i also do not want to see my exam results, i mean really.....i cant bear to see the possible Cs i would be seeing.....i guess i wont want to see my results till i come back Manila then....and it juz so happen that week happen to be unofficial release....

well this upcoming week will be quite pack up with meetups and the e.y.e election camp.....

yesterday after watching man u match, i realise i maybe missing couple of impt matches....which is the coming week chelsea v man u as well as the man u v barcelona second leg, i am not sure whether i could watch that in manila though.

lookin ahead, this is wad will happen to me:

Monday - Meet Dawn from YEP regarding the trip, proceed to go library work
Tuesday - Work with library, 5pm have the e.y.e interview and then e.y.e election camp
Wed - i thought will end early, but didnt there will be bbq and its a long day, the details provided juz say till 10pm, in addition the camp want us to bring markers and laptop....(in addition, i also do not know whether i have the chance to watch the barca v man u match)...sucks man~
Thurs - Still peaceful, but shld have the library work
Fri - Noon meeting Mr Lee from Azure, also regarding the YEP trip
Sat - Rest well, pack, pray for man u to do well and off i fly at 12.40am sun morn.......

anyway yesterday i started enjoying my holidays by watching PS I Love You and Step Up 2 Online......i also need to fork out time to cut my hair and spend time with ellse, but shld be able to since she now study week....

hi all...

today i had my second paper, thought i could do well in it but not surprisinglyi think i screw up again....guess i m really not cut out to be a normal average student.....shall downgrade to below average then.....2 more papers to go and i cant wait to finish them on a LOW note.....haizzzz.....

anyway back to something more scary....i had a nightmare about Mas Selamat last night, it was really scary and real.....here it goes:

i lived in a semi-d house (i duno why also), and i happened to be on the ground floor watching the news with my parents when headlines shown "Mas Selamat has successfully escaped to Jordan" (i duno why Jordan but i remembered this country clearly in my nightmare", and then the news show footages taken by Jordan militants showing Mas Selamat arrival at Jordan carrying a black duffel bag. The video footages continued to show Mas Selamat unzipping the bag and "doing like a equipment check". Not surprisingly, the bag contains things like wire, C4, tapes, facial makeup as well as clothes that he had changed throughout his escape......but the video ended with Mas Selamat telling the cameraman "I have planted several bombs in Singapore before i left!!!!!"

den the news anchor told the public to take care of ourselves and be careful. Next, i recalled that i have a BGS Presentation (its one of my mod this sem) in the afternoon and despite the danger, i have to be there. Furthermore, i recalled clearly that i have not rehearsed, which worries me alot. However,when i told my parents that i need to go sch for the presentation, BUT then both of them say outside too dangerous, so they do not want to step out of the house nor to drive me there. (i duno why lydat and i duno how come i got car).

Instead, my auntie arrived at my door the next moment and offered to drive me to school (i duno how the hell she know abt the presentation)......my younger brother also join me.

On the road, it was a long highway, which doesnt look like any other expressway in Singapore, it's just a long stretch of road....no much cars and dead....(like those in zombie movies)........but then as the car travels.....i heard loud explosions around the vicinity. i was shocked, thinking what could have happened.......

the next thing i know, the car went past Changi Airport and from my view, i saw the whole Changi Airport light up in blaze, it seems to me that the airport has just been blown up......i was totally terrified.....

the car went on and on the left and right side of the road, i start to see many school buildings and these buildings too are also destroyed and the whole area looks like a disaster zone.....it was really a real and scary image...it still has an impact in my mind right now.....

now after the car pass by the buildings.....suddenly the fragrance for the car 'shoots' out like a gas/liquid onto my auntie eyes, and she start to feel irritation in her eyes and subsequently fell unconscious, take note, she is the driver. The car lost control and i tried to take control of the car by controlling the steering wheel. Unfortunately, the car still lost control and crashed to the side of a kerb which caused the car to spin a few rounds.

the next thing i could recall is i been put out of the car without much injuries but i landed in the area around Jurong EAst MRT Station. Now, the area around Jurong East mrt station has also turned into a disaster relief area where lots of police cars, ambulances, fire stations are gathered and also i could see lots of injured people lying around. blood everywhere.

the policeman who attended to me told me that Jurong east mrt station just got blown up also. i went up the station and platform and i saw a train in the middle platform debris with half of the train blown apart. the whole area and tracks are blackened with smoke. blood was everywhere too.......it was in a terrible state, totally not for the weak heart.....

by this time, i WOKEUP at 7.10am and i get ready to go for my examination. and really disaster struck me when i took the paper.

but still this nightmare has struck me deep in my heart.........

onwards to next paper then.....

Finally, today is the last day of school....and one more week later i'll be having exams....

what a way to end this school term......

Had a BGS presentation in the morning class and i had my second individual speech in the afternoon class......in short, 2 presentations in a day......

but whats most exciting is the events after the comms class.....

Today, i had one of the rarest moments in SMU when i enjoyed myself thoroughly.....i mean really THOROUGHLY.......i never had such moment before....i muz admit.....

Well, basically today my comms class pple decide to go eat at PS cafe cartel and we chatted down there till evening time......

we have Melvin who is a local exchange student from ntu, darren, yin chong, peter and his gf, victor, alan, li ting, mei qian and mei ting all gathered in cafe cartel today.....and we basically hog up 3 tables and we sit there and chat for some time until we realise we are abit paiseh in the sense there was such a long queue outside at around 7 plus. We even manage to see Mei Qian going for her bondue faci interview and coming back to cafe cartel......

when it's time for payment, we realise that some of us paid extra and landed up with $22 change. So in the end, me, melvin, victor, alan, li ting, mei qian and mei ting went upstairs gelare to spent the $22 on the 8 flavours icecream boat........and we continue joking and taking pictures.....

wads even more surprising is i finally found some khakis in the west area. I dun know why man~, in poly - singapore poly somemore, sometimes when i go back, i am always alone, and den when i look opposite the platform, i saw terence thiam hock they all down there, real sad~ man.....

even now smu, it's also very hard finding pple near my area, and all i hear is "wah...boon lay...the other end"........wad the hell....haha....

but now i juz found out that Mei Qian lived in lakeside-tamah jurong and Mei Ting lived in Jurong EAst- Toh Guan, which is like so near my sec sch Shuqun SEcondary School......

to conclude, during classs the prof ask for a show of hands how many are from poly and i muz say a good 60% raise up their hands......and also juz now the gathering also alot from poly too, therefore it reminds me very much like poly and i really enjoyed today.

Why is it important? Becoz today perhaps is my last day i can enjoyed and tml i will camped at Boon Lay Library till it closes.....and do that for the next 2 weeks.......sigh......

wad the hell....i was surfing shuqun secondary blog after a long time and u know got one entry is about "Japanese students coming to sch".....den the pictures from flicker though onli hav 8 but then the pictures show:

hi people....

remember i talk abt i volunteering for some sleep study thingy....yupz...today is the d-day and right now i am not supposed to sleep...

i have been at this SGH lab since 7pm (dun worry i am not inside a cage and my identity is known as "Subject 24"...haha) and right now i going to do some IQ test soon cause i am suppose to do a reaction test every 1 hr and IQ tests every 4 hrs.....after which at 5am i will do a brain scan + do IQ tests at the same time to see what effects sleep deprivation can do to u.......

den by 8-9am, i shld be done and remunerated wif probably a couple of hundreds in my pocket and den i'll be sleeping like dinosaur on saturday....

but the thing pondering now is i later having a BGS make up class.....at 8.30am, shld i go or not....anyway its juz presentations time and my grp nt presenting.....

right now...i juz nid to tok to more girls to keep me awake......

these past few days have been horrible.....

still remember my previous post saying that becoz of my speech on sat, i didnt do too much sch stuff on Fri, Sat.....indeed the effect spread to Sunday and Monday as well......apparently i had quite a bad flu on Monday that i have to postpone my sleep study experiment to this fri and den i took the yellow magical flu pill called chlorophramine i tink.......and i slept on Mon 6pm till Tue 9am, what a amazing feat.....

What even amazing is becoz the work i supposed to do all drag from Good Friday till Tue and Tue and Wed was a mad period for me since i have to complete my Stats Assignment, do my Blaw Reading, BGS Reading as well as preparing my BGS Project Slides.......but everything's done now...so i am pretty satisfied wif my work rate....

wads left is to edit the Final BGS Report on Fri after later evening meeting as well as editing my slides further.....

other that that, just to need to prepare mentally for my last speech next fri for comms and practically wad i can do now is to start revising my Stats, AS and Blaw.......i got freakin no time to mug....first paper in 3 weeks time.....

Hello everyone, im back again

firstly congrats to amanda for passing her driving test. i'll be awaiting your lunch treat then if i m nt wrong. it's somewhere april rite?....loLZ~``and today is march 23

secondly, yesterday i finally completed my speech for the comms class. well i can onli say it's entertaining but wif little substance. i tink the class may like it but i scared i wont be rewarded by my prof judging by i guess he lookin for clear diction, good pronunciation, solid substance material. in any case. i guess i juz fk it. wad's done cannt be undone. now i shall look forward to my last speech in 2 weeks time and this time round, i am the last speaker. meaning i'll be the one to so called wrap up the whole comms class in this term. in addition before the class. i will also be having another grp presentation. haiz...wad a way to end my sch term before exams. anyway this speech really can mentally drained you....cause the speech is in your head, den when you want to do other modules, your mind will tell u u nid to practise your speech, and it will bothers u here n there. even after yesterday speech, i could not concentrate on doing other stuff. So practically my fri and sat i did nt do any school stuff.

thirdly, on good friday.....i met up wif my bmt instructors for a get together....onli 7 turn up but it's okay...less pple....less interaction.....we had swensens and then we went cine to play pool.....i finally get to see them becoz the last time we had an official gathering was in nov last year, but i could not make it becoz i had financial acctg meeting on a friday evening.....den when we suppose to have a cny gathering at encik hse....i was told that orion was having field on the 4th day of cny, which i tink is sunday + after that its SIT test i tink, so encik said cannt meet..timing too tight. Well hopefully more of such gatherings is to come.....i was also told by my former recruit nw a orion clerk who join us in the gathering tat some of the company 2ic are using my template of "the roles and responsibilities of 2ic" which i meant to pass on to the next 2ic and so on.....so i m kinda glad tat pple are using it too....anyway its good to see them after so long....9-10mths in fact

but here i hav to apologise to lingyang my sec sch bro...becoz initially he had organised a zoo outing on good friday wif my sec sch friends but i told him that i nid to prepare for my sat speech and do other stuff, tats why i cannt join them....but in the end i went to meet my army friends....paiseh and sorry....

well...now towards the last leg of my year 1.......hope i can pull through.....looking at my current academic performance, i am more towards B grader, this feeling reminds me of Year 2 Poly becoz it seems like the modules i took i cant probably score well....

1. Communication (my writing pull me down, speech gone case)
2. Stats (my prof diff frm others, higher standard, hong kan)
3. Analytical skills (even gone case, dont even know how to number premises correctly)
4. Creative Thinking (slightly positive but its juz 0.5 mod)
5. Business Law (50% of exam counted to grade, i m nt exam person, so i oso can kiss goodbye) 6. Business,govt,society (30-40 true/false+mcQ, in uni u will nv like that section, short qns - i cannt realli write well)

ironic rite?...compare this last part of the entry to the previous entries i hav.....

now into the last hour of the stats module....i can only say i am really not academically inclined in smu.....i've been struggling for most of the mod now....wadever i say before is invalid and unsound.

still wearing my wrist watch and slept at 12.30am yesterday wake up 8.15am this morn, so a good start for me.

here i want to share one nightmare i had during the slp yesterday, it still haunts me.......

First Scene:

i was in my room, i have been having thoughts thinking that my room or my house is haunted with one spirit.....den one time when ellse is in the room.....out of sudden i just shouted out, "if you want to disturb me, disturb me then, leave ellse alone".......

the next moment......i was possessed, how i know is becoz my body start to react and i start to speak with a sissy tone and my posture resembles of that like a girl, clearly, it was a female spirit.....but my mind seems clear becoz i remembered ellse feeling shocked at wad she saw.....the next moment, i just collasped and black out....by then.....i woke up and the spirit gone....

Second Scene:

i invited jonathan, wayne and thiam hock to my hse and they were in my room. ( i dun know hw come they r invited - watch porn?....maybe....LOLZ)

then i told them abt the female spirit in my room...den i told them in case anything happened to me, juz bear wif me.......upon saying that....i went into that same trance again......but my mind is still clear....so able to remembering seeing their shocked face.......but again, i black out after a while and become conscious later.......

Third Scene:

i was sleeping and i woke up...still in the sleepy sleepy mind......i shouted again saying, "I had enough....you better stop it....i dun want to see u again".....the nxt thing....i started to speak devilish language.....wif constant vomitting......

The next moment....i woke up......having the thought that i juz speak devilish a moment ago....its was so fking real........

This morning, to confirm my gut feeling....

i asked ellse....whether did i sleep-talk during my sleep.......cause i really thought i was possessed....

She replied, "WHERE GOT, YOU ONLY SNORE SNORE SNORE, so FKING LOUD, I CANNT EVEN SLEEP PROPERLY, ONLY SLEPT AT 5AM"......

that moment...i thought to myself, i am actually snoring instead of speaking devilish....LOLZ~!~!

hello people.....

just to blog before i sleep.....still remember the 2 weeks sleep deprivation study that i pick up that gonna get me at least $140 cash up to $220 max

yupz...today i went to SGH for the briefing and the initial screening....basically i took the blood sample, did some logical questions (like those in army medical checkup), its really mentally tiring....at the end of the 3hrs session, i was given $10 also.....

right now on me i am wearing this wrist watch which gonna keep track of my movement and sleep. as this watch is light sensitive, therefore i nid to sleep by their required timing with lights off, with lights on means i am not sleeping well etc. Therefore the timing i need to adhere to sleep by 1am, wake up the next day by 9am. i will do these routine stuff until 24 march where i will embark on a more than 24hrs sleep deprivation where i will be admitted to SGH and gonna be introduced to MRI scans and more problem-solving questions to do when i am sleep derived. basically they want to research on how sleep deprivation affect the mental mind.

So called me "Guinea Pig" then.....

Hi,

As discussed over the phone earlier, here is your schedule for the study, if you could call or send us an email to confirm:

Briefing: 10th March, 1PM
Rested Wakefulness (RW) session: 16th March, 7:30AM to 12:30PM
Sleep Deprivation (SD) session: 24th March, 6PM to 25th March, 9AM

The reimbursement for completing this study is a minimum of S$140 and up to S$220, depending on your task performance. been mugging intensely for the past 1 week plus and average time spent in school daily is abt 10 hours, including sat n sun. Den today happen to have my first mid term, Statistics. Well, i just want to say as much as i am mathematically inclined, this test really proves a stumbling block to my academic performance. Thinking back at the possible errors that i made, i guess aiming for a B-/B would be a realistic one. So anything above that would be excellent for me....other than that, other modules seem to be good. BGS and Law have been well for me. Comms mod, i still thinking whether can i do well for my speech. As much as i have done speeches before, now giving it for academic wise, its kinda mentally torturing.

for my cca, investment club, my event is coming up in 2 weeks time and hopefully runs smoothly.

for my ocip.....i have booked the tickets.....$301/person manila, philippines, cebu pacific airline from 27 Apr to 1 May. Departure timing 12.25am, Arrival timing 12am i guess seeing we depart at 8.30pm. Going for this recce trip is wayne, thiam hock, me and Xiu Jing, my lao-ban-niang. Over the next few weeks leading to the recce, i will continue to speak to Mr Gary, our liaison person, Dawn from the Youth Council, Emily from the sch side to seek knowledge and advice for our recce trip.

these 2 days also met up with Anna becoz she want to find out some info abt SOMEONE, den i also met up wif my xue mei Amanda and we ate at Sakae Sushi Citylink. anyway, i say first, i'll be waiting for my treat when you passed your TP, so i sincerely suggest you wear mini skirt on that day. Lastly on me and ellse. Everything being really good except that we kinda being away from one another these past 2 weeks. So the good thing is she at my place becoz if she's not, den i think its thatsit.com le.

Cause she being quite active with her work, so she will stay up late to rehearse for the trainings for the sec sch and den the next day when everything finish, she will sleep for very long time to recover frm sleep loss. Similarly for me, everytime i reach hm frm sch will be 10pm? 10.30pm? 11pm? which by then i could be tired or continue to complete my assignments. coupled that with the cny break when she return home, it seems like our contact time being reduced to really little time. so i really muz treasure the time that we can spent together.

Den on Valentine Day, we went back to the restaurant 3 years ago when we have our first v day together. Sizzler. Yupz and guess who i saw, Ms Goh Rou Hui and her bf. anyway we be looking out for a couple watch, so we didnt buy each present. it's been tough man~~~.....i been struggling to keep up......

this chinese new year too.....haven been wrong timing siaz.....i realli dun feel the next few days going to chinese new year......reason very simple......for uni students, this period is like 1/4 mark....for smu....similarly its week 5 before we go for a break in week 8. But this week 5 is crucial in the sense, its the time when the pace starts to increase and assignments piling up. By having this chinese new year eats into the Wed Thurs and Fri is even worse becoz the students will have to do make up either last week or the week after or the week after next. Its really sad since imagine all yr lessons are cramped onto tat 3 days, means every lesson also nid make up. and smu policy is make up on Saturday, thus imagine sat 8.30am lesson or 3.30pm lesson.....sad man~~~

likewise like i share wif my fellow schoolmates, lookin at the amt of "hongbao"(assignments, READINGS) that prof issued out as if he/she treat this period as non-holidays, one must be lying if the student is not going to touch any of the schoolwork. Just dun be surprise one bring his laptop or notes when he/she go bai nian.....hahaz...imagine the scene where your cousin said "Kor, come on la, dun lydat lei, stress us!"......

Life been relatively normal the past week or so, clearly not as wild and powerpack as terence mentioned in his blog...haha....

well, last week i n hock met up with Mr Gary again regarding our overseas expedition to philipines and i can say the progress is at around 5-10%. What most important is the recce trip and as of now, my tentative departure for this recce would be 26 Apr-1May 08 perhaps.....also check out the tickets frm cebu pacific and jetstar with cebu slightly cheaper (abt $300) but it all depends on when we are booking it, the faster the cheaper i guess. i have also applied my biometric passport as my current old version passport last only till sept 08. This week, once i met up with someone from youth council and also gather interest frm my team regarding the trip, most likely after cNY, i will book the tickets.

as for ellse, recently she told me there is this guy a year 3 senior during one of the talk came to "ta shan" her. He is a friend of a friend of ellse, so the way ellse describe to me how he sort of want to know her very wierd, something like keep on compliment ellse that her smile very nice, her eyes will sparkle all these kind of crap, den at the end ask about MSN address. Den when she came hm and when she check her facebook, the guy already request to add her as a friend. I duno wads his name, something xiang i tink, from what ellse describe to me, he looks really old and initial thought she thought he was a lecturer...hahaz.....

this uncle, about 40-50 years old was on a phone call when he came and took the seat beside me...in the meantime he was talking on board really loudly, everyone ard me could hear the conversation.....the conversation goes like this, i try to translate as accurate as possible:

Uncle: Sorry ahh....just now you could not come over because my daughter is at home

Caller: i assume she said "lydat you dont miss me mehz"

Uncle: miss you, of course miss you la, but miss you now also nt pt...cannt do anything

hi all.....juz wanna update a 'oh my god' dream yesterday that cause me to miss my first lesson in smu this year....the even more guilty part is i did nothing yesterday and slept from 9.30pm-8am, 10.5 hours......

okie..the dream is slowly fading away from my mind now....i try to recap as much as possible....

Scene 1:

Classroom Setting: apparently i was in a smu classroom having a proj meeting, i duno wad proj meeting but i do know the room contains me and some pple but the distinctive person in the room is June, ya the thiam hock's june.....i know the scene was in a way i am actually waiting for one more grp member.....wait wait wait....den u know who came late.....Mr Ng Thiam Hock himself....wad the hell.....but out of sudden duno why, as soon as thiam hock sit down, i started to 'kan' him or scold him like as if there is no tml, scold him like i am scolding a recruit....all the vulgarities non stop and the thing is he also argued back.....so we scold scold scold one another until i remember this line clearly when thiam hock suddenly turn his head.....and say this to june, "You should have called me and remind me abt this meeting wad!"......tats the end for scene 1

P.S i'll be bidding for the same mod next term wif hock and june and also i m involved in one competition with these 2 person too.....i tink working wif them is stress ba, considering the situation tat everyone knows, right ter? haha..

Scene 2:
i was the instructor in officer cadet school......and in s/i/e/r/r/a wing particular where i used to be one. The wing is having a bonding session at a bowling centre and i think i did pretty well in front of my cadets...haha.....den the next image i can recall is i made the cadets fall in on the lanes of the bowling alley. i can recall this scene becoz i was scolding them like maciam recruits lydat. e.g. how ill discipline they r in the bowling alley.....

after which we went back to ocs.........i remember the cadets were fall in nicely when wing com aka oc called me, i went to her den she told me tat one of my cadets is missing and started scolding me why i didnt check strength properly etc, the worse thing is she did it in front of the cadets...wah sad.....

den the next thing she start to question my attire, say how come my CSB badge on my uniform, there is some loose threads coming off............what happen next is she tear off the whole CSB Badge from my uniform, remember, she is still doing it in front of my cadets.....its really embarrassing becoz i m known as a f tub instructor in tat wing and now been scolded right in front of the cadets, its realli embarrassing.

after she tear off that portion, she said she gave me 5mins to change into a fresh new smart 4 with no loose threads, its like a change parade, i remember running back to my bunk like an anxious recruit, i went bac in the bunk and saw my friend Feroz, he is my roommate i guess, btw this guy Feroz is my friend who acted as the malay officer of wen guo in the show 'honour and passion'. in the bunk, i suddenly could not find any of my new uniforms and i requested Feroz help in lending me his uniforms, but he told me "Our name tags diff, lend u also no pt".......after which i run back to wing com to tell her my situation............then when she abt to unleash her punishments....

i woke up.........

P.S. i guess i was afraid to see what's going to happen, thus i woke up.....and i tink this scene reminds me of how i m in ocs back then.....

Week 1 of sch ended yesterday......i can only say this term is equally taxing on the body and mind....lots more readings to do.....and i have nt done much stuff....in addition i miss one lesson becoz of this dream and clock 10.5hrs of sleep......cannt~!~!.....something muz be done....

anyway i am realli glad for ellse becoz she juz survived 3 days conducting workshop for sec sch students of boon lay secondary school...remember the days in sec sch when the PAstoral guidance department organise series of events for graduating students, like superteen camp, etiquette workshops etc....ya, she is working in this coy which do all these and she is now known as Coach Ellse, so next time pls address her tat haha.....anyway she ask the sec 4N class students for feedback, den the guys in the class ask "Coach Ellse, are you attached"......when Ellse said yesh, the guys said "sianz.....haiiiiiii.......", cheeky ar.....but i tink i am also lydat when i was in sec 4......but i have changed, i stress again, i hav changed....lolz....

so next time if yr sch or orgn or company require a company to conduct these sort of leaderships/etiquette/career/boasting self-esteem courses or workshops....i tink she can be a good help....

and also she said tat she have to watch herself when being wif me in jurong point becoz similar to my recruit experience, i think she scared see her students in jurong point.....hahaz....

in addition she is currently using n82 as a trial user...the fone is quite big for a girl but the camera capability is equivalent to my lumix which has megapixel of 5.0....wah lao...

SINGAPORE: Major (MAJ) Tan Yit Guan, a SAF logistics officer, collapsed at 8.20am at Kranji Camp on Wednesday morning.

MAJ Tan was talking with his colleagues after completing a 1.2km self-paced run when he suddenly collapsed.

He was given prompt medical attention and sent to the National University Hospital at about 8.45am. Efforts by the SAF medical team to resuscitate him en route were unsuccessful. MAJ Tan was pronounced dead at 9.30am.

MINDEF and the SAF extend their deepest condolences to MAJ Tan's family, and will be assisting them in their time of grief.

MINDEF is investigating the incident.

Just wanna say i am really a SMU student becoz on New Year Day, i went back to school at 7.30pm aka 1930hrs for a 2 hours Investment Club Meeting........You guys can go ahead called me "geek", "What the fuck", "what the hell", "Ciao Mugger"................but what to do.....I lydat only lei...cannt blame also wad, i even saw 2 ah tiongs lying at the corridor of the business block sleeping with their notes and bks open............see~~!......fking competitive.....study until sleep.......

On my way to the school, i was in the train wif 2 recruits coming in frm jurong east, i felt relieved becoz i know i have ord-ed, in addition, when i was coming home at ard 10 plus, i saw flocks of sispec trainees i tink getting down at boon lay, i know becoz i recognise tat crew cut haircut, tat polo tee tuck in with blue jeans and belt and carrying a duffel bag, i felt relieved also becoz i know if i m still in tekong, i probably book in by now...again i felt relieved ......why???............becoz i remember clearly exactly 2 years ago on this very same day, back in OCS, i am the cadet duty officer for tat day. Furthermore, it is a bad day to do duty as tat period, we have about 5 days off becoz haji,christmas and new year will quite close and we were given off one shot, and my duty 1 Jan 2006, is like the 4th day of the 5 days off, makes me even fking dulan.....

this feeling is very much the same in 2006 where, 2006 Valentine day, i am in brunei, Ellse birthday, i in Taiwan, 2007 valentine, i in Sit Test, 2007 Ellse Birthday, i having 16km route march......f tub.....

another update on ellse vietnam situation....imagine this scenario....20 pple group.....14 down with food poisoning.....tat's bad....well it could be attributed to the supper they had before the food poisoning take place or even more true would be the fact that the group have to cook all their meals, shows it is possible to have food poisoning if proper hygiene is not in place......this shows us tat safety and health cannt be compromise on a OCIP....kevin take note....

one interesting thing happen today.....today as part of my library job, i have to go all the way to SAFTI MI library to borrow 2 bks......as i was walking out to the exit, i was actually walking behind 2 guys.....den one of the guys turn behind to see..............den he turn back again......just to confirm something before he stop and face me saying, "Sir, how are you, remember me anot, i am your former recruit, you are my company 2ic" i stunned for a moment before i said, "well, i dun realli remember but which batch are you in", he replied, "Oct 2006, PES C batch". And i admire the fact that i can simply watch episode after episode 1hr after another 1hr, sometimes sleeping at 5am, also not tired and wake up nxt day 10am, continue doing the same. hahahaz.........in addition to these shows i also have diligently keep to taiwan variety shows such as GuessGuessGuess and KangXiLaiLe, in addition, as i am deeply in love with Hebe Tian from S.H.E, therefore i am watching a drama starring her, li wei and mike he, "Dou Niu Yao Bu Yao".

Of all the US dramas, i ranked Lost as number 1, provided u are not 'lost' as i tell u now that you cannot miss any episode, followed by number 2, prison break as i love the conspiracy theory and the intelligence of michael scolfield in the show followed by 3.Heroes, which is like a version of X-Men. If you guys have the chance, maybe try watching the first 2 episodes of each drama, and see whether u like the show ba.....

Next, moving to my school side, well results are out, not too bad, its acceptable to me as i am a normal average student, nope, i tink now change to below average student, hor rouhui....haha. Then for my cca side, i am now in this sub committee of SMU Investment Club (E.y.E), i know its geeky but pardon me and right now i am in the midst of organising an event during week 9 of sch term for smu students, so watch out for it, in addition, i just presented my readings on Market Psychology and have expressed interest in joining the 15 member research team for E.y.E, hopefully i be exposed to more investment books and knowledge. I am not looking to be the top person in the club, rather seeking a moderate position in the exco perhaps, i dun know, i shall see where my commitment will be at.

As for my Overseas Community Service Project (OCIP), i have met up with one of the contacts i have and have quite a thorough meeting with him together with Hock, and right now my picture starts to become clearer again and very soon, my team and I will sit down and have a fruitful discussion i hope. Right now if based on the progress chart, its abt 10% and as leader, i think i have an optimistic outlook abt it unless something bad turns up or i failed as a leader and screws things up

As for my academic progress, well i have secured some contacts to sell me my books for term 2, for preparation for term 2, i seriously have not done anything and looking at the efforts and time spent by Thiam Hock, Wayne and perhaps June, it provides further evidence that after all, i am just a normal average student, oh no, its below average student. But seriously i can only blame it on myself focusing too much on Prison Break rather than Statistics. But fuck la, who cares. hahahaz

Lastly, is about Ellse, i am pretty worried abt her becoz she just told me that her side at Vietnam had 80% of pple down with diarrhoea and some of them hospitalised. Ellse is the first person to get sick but recovered already, yet, after that, many pple start to have diarrhoea. They put it to the supper they have earlier on, so realli take note ehz, dun anyhow eat the street stalls food. Right now i tink 1 day of their activity have to be cancelled due to the amt of pple down and hopefully everything turns out well. Now only left 5 days before ellse fly back to spore and i do not wish to see a sickly Ellse. I miss you.

P.S. i really feel that i am not used to sleeping alone. Oops.

well....nothing much ongoing these few days....been anticipating the release of the exam results......left one more mod to know......well...the rest of the mod results are acceptable to me and i manage to keep up to the "normal average" tag....

nxt....i have successfully keep up with Heroes and have completed the Heroes Season 2 Episode 10.....for my football manager.....currently managing man u....winning the epl in the first season...and now into the 2nd season with me still in the hunt for the treble......right now i am chiong-ing Prison Break and now into episode 3 of season 1....ya i know i am slow...but give me time, i will complete up to season 3.....

without ellse beside me and motivating me.....i kinda slack ard....rotting at hm.....not doing much to my life academically....my life pretty simple.....these 2 days have champs league...so i be tonning till 3.45am.....den after the match....slp till maybe 1pm....wakeup....den watch kang xi lai le....den continue with prison break.....den maybe go prepare for my investment meeting if i wan to.....den back to prison break.....den routine restarts....

as for work wise.....tml i no nid to work....so juz wait for orders to see whether friday nid to go down anotz.....

SINGAPORE: ComfortDelGro, the largest operator of taxis in Singapore, has overhauled its fare structure which it says will better meet the demand for and supply of taxi services at different times of the day.

The changes will kick in next Monday.

Flagging down a Comfort or CityCab will cost $0.30 more at $2.80.

The metered fare has also been adjusted.

It will cost $0.20 per 385 metres of travel for the first 10 kilometres.

This will go up to $0.20 per 330 metres for journeys beyond 10 kilometres.

It will cost $0.20 for every 45 seconds of waiting time.

Instead of the $2 surcharge for peak hour travel, there will now be a premium levied.

It will be 35 per cent of the metered fare.

And the CBD surcharge will go up by $2 to $3.

For travel from midnight till just before 6am, instead of the gradual buildup in surcharge, it will be simplified to a flat 50 per cent on the metered fare.

However, the booking fee during peak hours will be reduced by $0.50 to $3.50.

The booking fee remains at $2.50 for non-peak hours.

As an example, ComfortDelGro says a 9 kilometre trip off-peak will cost $8.40 while a trip of the same distance during peak hours will cost $14.35.

This is comparable to what the same trip would cost in Hong Kong and still only half of what it would cost in Sydney.

In a news release, ComfortDelGro says the fare changes are the result of an in-depth review of the industry by the Group, which took into account suggestions and feedback from the public.

The changes also took into account feedback from taxi associations, taking into consideration the higher operating costs of taxis.

Also, it addressed commuters' concern on the difficulty in getting a cab in the city in the evening while encouraging call bookings to better match the demand and supply of taxis.

The Taxi Operators' Associations or TOA, in its response, called the fare revision fair and timely.

This is in view of the rapidly rising operating cost, especially the price of diesel and the increase in the Goods and Services Tax.

It believes that overall taxi metre fare should reflect the operating cost of the taxi business, and the primary consideration is the income stability of the taxi drivers when fare adjustments are made.

i have one of the wierdest dream ever......i woke up with tears in my eyes somemore....

well.....it began by me wanting to have poly gathering at a good place becoz apparently i paid $400 deposit for it, inviting terence....and the 07 class pple.......the usual bunch.....

and apparently i do not know why i invited my parents too and ellse too.....wierd rite....hahaz.....

den on the day of the gathering, terence called me, asking me when i going to airport to check in.....i tink apparently i be going some trip wif him i guess....

back to the gathering......the gathering was scheduled at 5pm......i had gotten ready and waiting for ellse and my family to get dressed and go.....but then....i duno what happened......my family and ellse refused to get dressed, instead start to get busy wif other stuff......like suddenly washing clothes....den ellse told me she very tired after finishing her papers....so she went to sleep etc......very funny rite.....if they cant make it, i might as well juz go alone.....but no......i didnt....instead i wait and wait until 8pm(i remember lookin at a clock).....until terence called again, asking where am i and scolding me abt the host suppose to be here, but not here and everyone else had arrived......i told him to carry on first without me......

after i put down the fone, i suddenly became agitated......i let burst sentence after sentence of vulgarities at my family for delaying and delaying and i have paid up the deposit etc......i also go to ellse and say "SLEEP SOMEMORE....@#$#$@%"....................as i could not wait any longer....i shouted, "Fuck la....dun go dun go la...knn"........den out of sudden....my mum come into action, she said since not going...den she go prepare dinner.....wad the helll........

and then u know wad, thiam hock call.......he told me he didnt go for the gathering, he say save money.........how true is tat....hahaz..........but he suddenly start scolding me, asking....."what happened to your blog ar.....why u go talk abt me and 'six-month' and ***Q* in the blog"......haha for pple duno the names, can go find me msn....haha.....den i replied thiam hock, "aiya.....if u not showing interest in them, den no nid feel so gan chiong come calling me asking me abt tat"...along tat line......

right after the hang up....my mum put bowls of noodle soup on the table.....i finished the noodles and started swearing again......i went to ellse and swear at her also for she is still sleeping........den i duno why.....i went back to my room, den i lie on the floor face down, resting my face on my arms and started crying........i remember faintly that ellse came in and ask me what happened, 'i said i really want to go to the gathering, i even paid 400 bucks u know...."

ladies and gentlemen......users of microsoft vista and pple running on 1gb ram on laptop.....still remember few months ago, i complained and complained abt vista slowing my startup as compared to xp...yupz i tink i found a solution...

i have manage to improve my startup time by up to 70% after i explore vista just now......whoohoooooooo

i went to Control Panel>Performance information and tools>Manage Startup Programs and viola.......i manage to disable lots of startup programs......

similarly, u do muz have install Windows Defender cause this is where u disable all these programs....

u go Windows Defender>Tools and Options>Software Explorer>U will see all the programs belonging to Startup process when u on your computer....den its realli easy to disable as Firstly, you go and click on show all users first, den the page will refresh....after which u juz click on whichever program u think is slowing down your computer when u startup and click "Disable", i think for safe wise, pls do not disable any program under the category "Windows" or "Intel"....for me as i am using acer, there is this acer empowering technology program that took a long time to startup and basically this thing is like a shortcut where u can adjust your power settings, password settings, so disabling it does not make any difference.....

i also found out for my com, things like adobe, quicktime, realtime updaters, sound manager etc have also been launched during startup, hence slowing down even further.....

Well, if you do not know which program used lots of memory, you can try going to Task Manager through Alt Cltr Del, den look under the 'Processes' Tab, den you will see some programs that are using like 20000k memory usage etc......

so.....though 1gb is still slow for my lappy, but i tink i have save quite a bit of time in starting up as can u imagine, i startup liaoz, i can access the folders i wan, but then i have to wait maybe another 3-4 mins for the whole lappy to settle down and connect to internet.....right now probably i wait abt 1-1/2 mins, everything is done and dusted.....

obviously it is good to upgrade to 2gb or more ram if possible but i wont be doing it becoz the behind the lappy said that "Warranty is void if seal is brokern", and that seal happened to be placed across the area where u unscrew and open up the lappy....so unless i go thru acer to upgrade, if i go to simlim or whatsoever, i tink there will not be warranty anymore, moreover thru smu offer, my warranty is 3 yrs......

Dream:

I was walking to take a bus at Boon Lay Interchange.....as i walk past the financial planning booth.....about 5 planners continuously keep asking me to stop to do a survey for them.......

"Enough la.....i have done enough surveys already....go away"......

Den someone ran up to me, i turned and saw Eugene Fu (one of my ocs friend)......he said, "Kevin, remember me"....

i replied, "Ya.....but what the hell are you working in this line with these pple".....

i further reiterate, "You know everytime i see this pple, i feel like punching them"

He replied, "Izit..."

i said, "You dun believe ar", and i started chasing after him in the interchange......HAHAHAZ....

But i didnt manage to catch up with him and punch him......instead when we came to a stop.....

i said, "Dun let Ellse see you lydat, if not she also will feel like punching u".....(Btw, Ellse is Eugene's sec sch classmate), i turned around and continue walking to my bus stop......

Then suddenly i feel that i was being followed by some people, i turned around again and saw one by one my OCS section mates started running towards me but stop and say hi to me.......i cant realli remember wad happen after that.....

But i know the next scene is Ellse calling me, asking me whether i woke up already anotz....

i said "Wake up already la.....i even went for a run and now walking in the bus interchange to take bus home, i want to go home watch the man u vs sporting lisbon game"......

The next thing i know.......i woke up in my bed.......at 2am.....hahhahaz...apparently later 3.45am its realli man u vs sporting lisbon game...and now i juz woke up from a nap taken at ard 9pm...

conclusion: i miss my sierra section mates and i tink i really hate the planners......haha

SINGAPORE: The bodies of two Singaporean rowers who went missing after their dragon boat capsized in an accident in Cambodia have been found.

Three more Singaporean rowers remain missing.

The two bodies were recovered Sunday morning. Their identities cannot be revealed until their next of kin have been informed.

The tragedy occurred on Friday when the Singapore team's boat was reported to have overturned and capsized as they were making their way back to the starting point after the Cambodia-ASEAN race on the Tonle Sap River.

A 22-member national dragon boating team from Singapore had been participating in the annual competition.

The course will commence in September next year, with an intake of 60 students.

yesterday blog seems like i m looking forward to today.....but unexpected things happen at the wrong time.....i now at home......

i hit by flu bug.....which resulting me using up 1 1/2 boxes of tissue alreadi......but after taking the non-drowsy medicine, its under control now.....

BUT you know wad......luckily i took a non-drowsy medicine becoz this morning.........somewhere in my block.....there is some drilling works going on.......Fking hell!......how to rest........i put on ear plugs also no use.....knn.....den now wake up for nothing......slept at 6am somemore....

Nevertheless......i manage to bid successfully for the management comms class together with Thiam Hock and Wayne, so hopefully, we can support one another.......but come to think again.....stress siaz.....imagine one sit left of me....the other sit right of me.........make me stress again.....

well well well......

didnt realise its been a week since i updated........it shows how much i have neglected blogging......and unexpectedly in the meantime kena shoot also....haha.......

anyway also nothing much.....i tink at of last week i think i said something like i have my 3 grp presentations and 1 individual presentation........yupz.......its ovER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....whoohoooo......so coming to my last week of sch before my study week....i have cleared my major stuff.....now pretty relaxed.....juz some collating of report for FA, CAT individual part to Eugene and edit my acad writing which have already been done up.......

well.....presentation wise.......i tink individually....i have try my best and i didnt fare too badly i tink...remembering what i need to say and express it out.....i guess poly and army has trained me well in standing and talking/scolding respectively to people......loLz~!~!

Another thing to look forward to is tml 12-6pm where basically after my acctg class in the morning...i am going to study wif my ltb mates.....before having dinner wif them........i tink i shall go and study my twc notes as this thurs....prof gonna giv exam tips.......other than that....i just want to settle all my project stuff by this week as i do want to concentrate on the exams........

looking back at what i have done this term.......i tink i m pretty pleased with myself and hopefully i can do well for exams.......jiayou..............

hey pple....

just wanna announce i am pleased with my week 11 performance.......in the sense i try to complete every single assignment, project part as soon as possible to squeeze out some time for ellse...and today we went west mall.....though its nothing much.....but i can see ellse smile that she is happy....

indeed i hav let her down in recent times......like i mentioned before....its been too long that i went out with her......my saturdays and sundays the past 1-2months have been dedicated solely to assignments and slp(recuperation) that it makes me making less and less effort in our relationship and i am really disappointed with myself.......

its the not the usual last time when i was still in the army and in particular bmtc, that i can always book out and enjoy my free days and weekends, why?....becoz when u book out, there is no worry back in camp........yesh....occasionally your sunday morning n afternoon will be bombarded with recruits tellin u they on mc, but still i do not worry abt the next field camp nor the next range becoz i can go bac camp and do the preparation, and still able to meet the deadlines by my oc......

but now school is different.......when you finish one assignment, you will know that the next one is waiting for you, and this thing goes on and on.....similarly for project......non-enthusiastic team members will just wait for things to happen and as the deadline draw closer and closer.....you got no choice but to stamp your authority and take charge.......in the end....it may results in oneself doing 90% of your work and in the end maybe out of 6 modules....every module you are the leader of the pack.....there are only 2 explanations......one is you are suay in a grp where no one wan to step forward and lead and u just cannt afford to sit like the rest.....second.....you wan to show pple u can be a good leader and not afraid to take on so mani leadership roles in so mani other mod....u wan to learn the hard way basically....so which one does you belong to???????...think again....

lastly....as i move towards my most hectic week of my smu life...as i mentioned in my previous entries......i can pray for support for you guys and my beloved ellse and hope everything runs well for me.....i m too afraid to see failure n disappointments again........haiz...

still remember last week i tok abt helping hock with his project and in particularly helping out setting the campfire for him.....yupz the pictures are up.......sorie...the pictures will be small and u most probably wont see the kids pictures at all.....alot of fire pictures.....actually i have a short video on the light up of the campfire but got the incharge involved...so i tink i also wont post ba...if u guys wan...can msn me....but its 50mb...so i tink no pt also...its juz a 15 plus seconds shot.....anyway enjoy the pictures....my sweat and blood lei...for this......ever since year 2001.......when i was still a scout.....
